Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Video Circles, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Description of Service

Video Circles is a family video sharing application that provides:

• Video memory recording and sharing

• Family circle groups for organizing members

• Group chat within circles

• Cloud backup and sync across devices

Account Registration

To use Video Circles, you must:

• Sign in with your Apple ID

• Be at least 13 years of age

• Maintain the security of your account

• Provide accurate information

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Video Circles, including your videos, photos, and messages.

By using the app, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store and back up your content

• Process videos for adaptive streaming (HLS conversion)

• Process content through AI services for prompts and suggestions

• Transmit your content to circle members you choose to share with

This license is solely for providing the service to you.

Content Guidelines

You agree not to use Video Circles to:

• Create, store, or share illegal content

• Violate others' intellectual property rights

• Harass, abuse, or harm others

• Distribute malware or harmful code

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

• Share content that violates others' privacy without consent

AI-Powered Features

Video Circles uses AI (powered by OpenAI) for features like recording prompts and suggestions.

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies

• You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated suggestions

• AI processing is subject to OpenAI's usage policies

• Your content is not used for AI model training

Video Circles & Sharing

When using family circle features:

• You control who can view your content through circle membership

• Circle owners can manage membership and transfer ownership

• You can leave circles or remove members at any time

• Shared content is only visible to circle members

• Chat messages are visible to all members of that circle

Subscriptions & Payments

Premium features require an in-app subscription:

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple

• Auto-renewal occurs unless cancelled before the renewal date

• Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings

• No refunds for partial subscription periods

• Prices may change with notice

Intellectual Property

Video Circles and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app

• Reverse engineer or decompile the app

• Use our trademarks without permission

• Remove any copyright notices

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features

• Scheduled maintenance may temporarily affect access

• Video processing times may vary based on server load

Limitation of Liability

Video Circles is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

• Our total liability is limited to amounts you paid us in the past 12 months

• We are not responsible for content shared by other users

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Video Circles and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the service

• Your violation of these terms

• Your content or its use

• Your violation of any third party rights

Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Third-Party Services

Video Circles integrates with third-party services:

• Apple (authentication, payments, notifications)

• OpenAI (AI-powered prompts and suggestions)

• Supabase (cloud storage and database)

• Firebase (analytics and crash reporting)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these terms

• Engage in fraudulent activity

• Abuse the service or other users

Upon termination:

• Your access to cloud features ends

• Your content may be deleted after a grace period

• Circle members will no longer see your shared content

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
